Professor Lynn Newton, MEd, PhD, is Head of the School of Education at Durham University in the UK.

She has a particular interest in creative thinking, and has written many articles and books aimed at supporting productive thought (see for example, Questioning: A Window on Productive Thought and Teaching for Productive Thought, both published by the ICIE, and Creativity for a New Curriculum, published by Routledge).

Professor Newton was a lead author of the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education report, a joint project between Durham University and the Arts Council for England.
